How do I start shopping?

You can start shopping by browsing through our 5 categories, just like you would in a department store. You will find these listed at the top of BabiesIsland homepage. To shop, simply click on your desired category. We also have a search button for use, if you know the exact name of what you are after. When you use this search option, we will display a list of items that match your search word. We also offer a wishlist service in BabiesIsland. This service allows you to create your own Wishlist or shop from a friend's. To find out more about this service, please click here.

How do I select an item that I like?

Now that you have found that perfect gift that you were after, simply check the options available for this item and pick your desired size/colour/quantity. When 1 item has been added to your shopping basket, you will also see the running total of your shopping basket on the right hand side of the page. This is to let you know how much you have spent already. You also have the options to tell a friend about a fabulous item, you saw and thought they will like, OR you can add the item to a wish list, which you can view later on or send to your friends to shop from.

What if the item I am after is currently out of stock?

We are always checking our stock levels and you may find a message by an item telling you that the item or some sizes are out of stock. Don't despair just yet; we may have more on the way! Just send us an email; customer@BabiesIsland.co.uk and we will send you an email once the items arrive. Also some of our products are 'on order'. We specially order this item just for you. Once you have placed you order, we will email/call you to advise when to expect delivery.

How do I now place my order when I have selected everything I want?

When you are done with adding as many items as you desire, simply click on the 'Go to Checkout' button on your current page and this will take you to your shopping basket. At this point, you can update your basket, by either adding or removing items. When you are done with updating your basket, you can now proceed to "checkout". If you've shopped at BabiesIsland before, you are already a registered user. All you need to do is enter your e-mail address and password that you used in registering and you'll be guided through the checkout process. If you're a first time customer, you'll be asked to register for the first time (it is very easy and it only takes a few minutes) Just follow instructions from there.

I am a returning customer, but I have forgotten my password. What do I do?

Click on 'account' at the top of BabiesIsland Homepage. You will need to enter the email that you used in registering with us, Your password will be sent to you in an email.

Can I change or cancel an order once it's been placed?

Yes you can! Please let us know ASAP either via E-mail at customer@BabiesIsland.co.uk or phone us on 01279 436 205. If your order has already been dispatched, you have up to 7 days from receipt of items to alert us of cancellation. Please see our Terms and Conditions for more details on our returns and refunds policy.

Can I shop safely using my credit card on BabiesIsland?

Of course you can! All our payment transactions are carried out on a secure Worldpay site. This is your guarantee that every transaction you make on BabiesIsland will be 100% safe.

What cards and payment methods do you accept on BabiesIsland?

We accept Cheques (UK Banks only), Visa, MasterCard, Solo and Switch cards. Please note that for Cheque payments, we will have to wait for cheque clearance before we ship the goods ordered. You can also pay using our BabiesIsland Gift Vouchers and Coupons.

How much do you charge for shipping the items I buy on BabiesIsland?

At BabiesIsland we value your custom and know how important it is to have your items delivered on time. So we currently use RoyalMail Registered post for our deliveries. We charge £3.95 to post most items to UK mainland addresses. However some bulky items attract a surcharge, for example our little chairs and sofas.

Do you ship outside of the UK?

We welcome international customers and are happy to ship outside the UK. Our website is automated to charge shipping to the country that your order will be posted to. If in doubt, please email us: customer@BabiesIsland.co.uk and we will confirm the exact shipping costs for you.

How do I know that my order is on its way, can I track it?

If your order has not arrived within 10 working days, please alert us immediately. We will not be able to confirm the exact time or date of delivery but you can email us on customer@BabiesIsland.co.uk  to find out the status of your order. Usually, our delivery period is 14 days, stock permitting. We will endeavour to alert you if we anticipate any delays. If after 10th day you haven't received your items or a notification of delay, simply give us a quick call on 01279436205 and we will promptly attend to the matter.

How do I know that the item I intend to buy is the right size?

You will notice that each clothing item on BabiesIsland has a sizing information in its description. This guides so you can read off the size that is suitable for you. If in doubt, please email us: customer@BabiesIsland.co.uk

What if I still end up buying the wrong size, can I return the item?

Sure! You have 7 days after you have received the item to change your mind and return the item in its original packaging and sellable condition. Please see our Terms and Conditions for more information.

What is a Wishlist?

Our Wislist is a fuss free way for friends and family to give you practical baby gifts that you really require when your precious baby is born. Instead of receiving loads and loads of teddies and flowers, it will be a lot easier if your friends knew the exact items you needed for your baby! Also, with this service you can avoid duplicating presents! The Wishlist can work very much like your 'wedding list' except that this is for babies! BabiesIsland Wishlist tool is absolutely free to use and it is fuss free.

How do I buy or use a BabiesIsland Gift Voucher?

BabiesIsland Gift vouchers are available in the following denominations; £5, £10, £20, £50 and £100 Your gift voucher can either be sent via email in form of a code To buy a Babiesisland Gift Voucher, simply go to 'Outlet' category, click on Gift Voucher and follow the instructions from there. Please note that the BabiesIsland Gift Voucher can only be on BabiesIsland Website.

Do you offer gift-wrapping?

This is a service we intend to add to our shop very soon. Please be on the look out!

What is a coupon code? How do I get one?

We regularly offer special coupon codes that our customers can use in getting exciting discounts on their purchases! When shop with us, you are given an option to sign in for receiving mails about our promotions and special offers. If you have not signed up and you are interested in doing so, simply edit your user profile when you log into your Account. To use a coupon code, on the checkout page, enter your code in the space provided and you will see your discounted total when you are ready to pay for your purchase.
